This is the new full-color graphic novel by Francesca Ghermandi, creator of
Pastil. Apart from the covers of
Pastil this is the first color work I've seen by Ghermandi and I'm pleased to report it's quite lush and stunning. The story involves a poor schlep in an unhappy marriage who falls for his saucy new neighbor who needs rescuing. A plan unfolds to solve both of their problems, but in Ghermandi's world, everything is not as it seems. Clever plot twists, bizarre characters and beautiful artwork made this a good read for me.
