Man, I just love stuff like this. Ryan Vella has put together a fun collection of Marvel Comics-inspired pin-ups and cartoons. I wouldn't call it a tribute exactly, but it's clear most of the participants have a history with the characters. The contributor list reads like a Who's Who of the current Australian comix scene and includes editor Vella, Anton Emdin, Glenn Smith, Ben Hutchings, Gerard Ashworth, Neale Blanden, Stratu and Dillon Naylor, among others, plus at least one American, Mike Diana (who does a Sinister Six centerspread). If you dig stuff like the Marvel Benefit issue of
Coober Skeber and want to see Ant-Man high, Dr. Doom with bazooms, Giant Size Man-Thing and the Watcher jerking off then this is the book for you. There's no price listed, but $5.00 seems about right, I guess. If in doubt, of course, write first.
