THE MASTERPLAN
Review by Mark Campos
(Top Shelf Productions,

This year's story brick from the prolific Scott Mills is an SF adventure that spans 18,000,000,042,058 years and 306 pages: an adventure involving a planet-bending scientist, his priest brother, and his ex-wife who hates him. The story flashes by without much development, and Scott's minimalist art dances itself pretty thin at times. Some interesting ideas are left in the dust. Still, there's not another book like it on the market, and Scott's unique
storytelling voice is always fun to hear.
