TAKE-OUT #6
(Raina Telgemeier,
www.goRaina.com)
Raina Telgemeier does this comic of sweet, entertaining autobio snippets from her childhood. She seems to improve with each new thing I read and everything I've seen from her has been lots of fun. In this one, she reminisces about a trip to Grandma's, the first time she saw her dad beardless, a schoolmate she didn't like and goofing off with her sister. My only complaint about
Take-Out is that it's over too quickly. It's not that there's too much filler; it's just that the comic is over before I want to be done. I'm hoping to see a nice, thick collection one of these days. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I like it. You can find more of Raina's work in the
Broad Appeal and
Reflux anthologies, among other places.
